Instead of being a politician, John McCain is being a patriot and a real leader. He announced today he was suspending his campaign and returning to Washington to work on the financial crisis that is threatening to cripple our nation. This all came after Fed Chairman Bernancke said that:

“The intensification of financial stress in recent weeks, which will make lenders still more cautious about extending credit to households and business, could prove a significant further drag on growth,” Bernanke told the congressional Joint Economic Committee.

“The downside risks to the outlook thus remain a significant concern,” he said. “Action by Congress is urgently required to stabilize the situation and avert what otherwise could be very serious consequences for our financial markets and for our economy.”

The Obama campaign however has said that they can do both. It is sad to see one side putting politics and ego aside, and the other doing the political song and dance routine to stroke his own ego. Obama has demonstrated over and over again he is NOT the best choice for the job and does not have what it takes to put the nation first.
