**UPDATED** 20/20’s John Stossel Got It all Wrong

**Petra Luna is a unique individual who does good in her own way. She is a warrior for the cause and a committed ANTI. I think she could have spent more time pointed out who the real Jan is, but all in all she did a great job.
20/20’s report tonight was titled “Age of Consent”. It should have been titled “Give Pedophiles Yet Another Chance”. John Stossel’s is known for very well researched and hard hitting commentary. How he blew this one if beyond me. The first part was shocking. Instead of showing the reality of why the sex offender registry is so important, he tried to show it as something that isn’t necessary. He chose as his centerpieces Jan Kruska, a pedophile who was 23 when she had sex with a 15 year old, as the victim of the unfair system and for the Pro-Child/Anti-Pedophile movement he picks Petra Luna. **Petra Luna is a unique individual who does good in her own way, but doesn’t represent the real warriors of the movement. If you want to see some of the real warriors go to Absolute Zero United and there you will see the front lines in the war for our children’s innocence.
It is sad and pathetic that protecting our children is something that gets you demonized and having sex with a minor gets you deionized. Our society is heading down some bad paths and lowering the age of consent is sending down another bad path. The CDC announced last week that the national statistic is now 1 in 3 teenage females have an STD. Liberals say safe sex classes are working. Really well… huh 1 in 3? They aren’t. Just like all the other feel good liberal ideas, they fail miserably. When it comes to our children there is no compromise. Lowering the age of consent would be irresponsible and ignorant. Getting rid of sex crime registries would do much more harm than good. You did a bad job Stossel. If you saw this show and were outraged as I was send an e-mail to Mr. Stossel and tell him so. You know, I used to think that I had some liberal views. But it turns out that the older I get, that’s not as true. However, I have always been pretty conservative when it comes to situations like this one, even in my own life. It actually makes me very angry to hear that lowering the age of consent is being considered. It’s hard enough to teach our kids that sex is something that should be between two consenting adults who love each other and (dare I go as far as to say) are married…that to lower the age of consent only muddies the issue even further. The reality is that most people don’t wait until they are married, but wouldn’t it be great if they at least waited until they were mature enough to deal with whatever consequences might occur as a result? Thanks for another very informative post!

We are in the minority it seems anymore Anacris. Most 15 year olds aren’t allowed to drive cars, but they should be allowed to make sexual choices that could affect themselves and others around them for years to come? Just shear stupidity and failed logic. The same logic that is the cause of many of our worst social ills. On one side we have Patriots trying to free the nation from the bonds of servitude. On another the masses wanting to be further breast fed from the big teet of government nanny state and on the last front you have the people who don’t give a shit. They just muddle fuck their way through life and are too afraid to take a stand on anything. They just want to appease everyone.
We need to bring some sanity back.

I am a huge fan of Absolute Zero and I like to consider myself to be a friend of them too, of some sorts.
I have been to your blog here a few times and I do like it. Also I have close personal friends who are in the roller derby in my home town and I am a huge supporter of that as well.
With that said, I saw the 20/20 show and found it very disturbing the way they pieced it together. The way they tricked Petra and lied to her. Telling her the show was based on Child Sex Predators, not consensual teen sex.
I was trying to find a way to contact you personally and not through the comments here.
I wanted to let you know how I feel regarding a statement you made about Petra Luna. I am upset by that statement. I don’t see why you thought it would be beneficial to say, “Petra Luna is a unique individual who does good in her own way, but doesn’t represent the real warriors of the movement.”
Now I don’t want to make a deal of this and I am most certainly not going to spread it around. I am also a friend of Petra, a supporter and in the War On Abuse myself. I consider myself to be a warrior and I also consider Petra Luna to be a huge warrior!
She is out there herself with her face on national television while most of us do not. She is very brave and she is also a very sweet person with a huge heart! She is sincere and truly in this for the kid’s, I KNOW this!
I am going to take a leap here and assume you don’t know much about how Petra came into this in the first place, her personal story. Please, I feel that as ANTI’s we need each other especially now. I hope that you can take the time and learn more about Petra and know that she is for real and a very bright individual who was just caught off guard on national television.

Thanks for being a reader and a fellow ANTI. I am glad to know you read my site and AZ’s.
Concerning Petra Luna, I will reword my statement and show it as a correction because I didn’t mean it the way it sounded. I do however believe she made it seem like she is doing this stuff alone. When asked about publishing Jan’s address she denied being the one that did it and instead blamed her “associates.” We are the associates she is referring too. Also when they showed the Klu Klux Jan graphic she didn’t clarify that she didn’t create that, Jacey with AZ did, but because it was good she used it.
I agree that Stossel caught her off guard and in her shoes I don’t know how I would have responded. I know Petra is a warrior, I just wish she would have pointed out that Jan is an activist for pedophiles, including violent ones, and even signed her name to a petition that includes abolishing registries and removing age of consent laws.
I appreciate you pointing out my misstatement and will reword it.

LOL coming from you that’s a stretch. Stossel on his show said 23, Kruska says 22. Regardless she was charged with being in a caretaker position for a child and instead of being an adult and understanding that just about all 15 year old males are hormone filled, she manipulated that and betrayed her position as a caretaker and adult and exploited a 15 year old boy. Being legalistic doesn’t change those true facts of the case so try as you may, the truth still sounds better than any lie.
