Is A Revolution Coming?
Published by The Tampa Pirate October 24th, 2007 in Fred Thompson, Government, Ron PaulMore and more people are hearing Ron Paul’s message on the campaign trail and they are starting to see that maybe it is time for our nation to stop the decent into the abyss and start looking towards returning to the principles on which our country was founded. We see our nation sliding further and further away from values and principles, yet we do nothing to stop the decent. The American people have a responsibility to learn what our country was supposed to be not what it has become. Ronald Reagan was very close to being a libertarian. He believed in limited government and when he became president he began scrapping many of the programs and government offices that did little more than push paper. He believed in individual freedoms and many of the principles of our founding fathers. He irritated many in the Republican party and most of the Democrat party, but they all respected him. Reagan was a true statesman.
Look at the politicians today. Look at our Congressmen. They have a medical plan and pension program that is unmatched in the private sector. They can’t even pass a bill without jamming it full of pork projects increasing its initial wealth by a 1000%. They treat our money like a whore addicted to crack. They are mostly lawyers who have spent many years screwing over people and companies and feeding off the weak. The majority of them are rich beyond belief and yet they beg money from us like homeless bums. They are corrupt and criminal, and should all be removed from office.
Why do we keep voting for them? Why??? I have no idea anymore. I think that Americans need a wake up call. They need to look at the past to see Bush didn’t start our decline. It started over a hundred years ago, and it continues to slide further and further away. We have to take back our government, we must take back our government. If we don’t we will see all our civil liberties flushed down the toilet. The Feds have moved into our homes and work places. They have moved into our churches and organizations. We are losing it all. When will we get it back? When we take it back!
We need to review the candidates and stop listening to the MSM. We need to make our decision based on the issues, and use the Constitution as our litmus test. I like Fred Thompson and Ron Paul. I think both have positives and negatives now it is time to see what they are really made of. It is going to take an outsider or an honest politician to get us back on course. If that doesn’t work I can hear the battle cry as angry Americans descend on D.C.

I have thrown my support to Thompson because I think he is the best with the chance to win. I prefer Tom Tancredo over Thompson and I could support Paul even though he does seem to have some ideas about isolationism that I do not agree with.
You vote for Ron Paul and you might as well vote for Hillary. If that’s what you want go for it. The only 3 who have any chance in hell of beating Clinton are Giuliani, Romney and pssibly Thompson but I think not.
For the record, I have not said who I am voting for yet. I like Thompson, Paul, Tancredo and sometimes Romney. I cannot imagine voting for Giuliani. I am tired of status quo politicians. They are a dime a dozen. I want someone who will rally the party and once again excite the voters.
It is sad that we have to vote for the lesser of two evils.
P.S. - For the record I think Paul’s anti-war, isolationist stance is dangerous, and could spell disaster for the U.S..
