Ron Paul Did Good In Iowa Straw Poll
Published by The Tampa Pirate August 12th, 2007 in 2008 Elections, Ron PaulMitt “the Mormon” Romney won the Iowa Straw Poll. Ron Paul was expected to get maybe 2% of the vote in Iowa Straw Poll, instead he won 10% and came in fifth place. Mike Huckaby, also considered by the MSM as a rogue candidate, came in 2nd. If you read the MSM headlines you would think this is a huge victory for Romney and a major defeat for Paul, but that would be incorrect.
To begin with the Romney campaign offered free transportation to and from the event and he offered to pay for the $35.00 ticket to the event. The other candidates did none of that. In fact Mike Huckaby said this to the Ames, Iowa crowd about the strategy, “I’m not the best-funded candidate in America. I can’t buy you, I don’t have the money, I can’t even rent you.”
The 10% won by Ron Paul was important because as Free Market New Network reports:
So before you listen to the MSM propaganda machine, take time to look at the candidates and what they really stand for. Why wouldn’t any American want to abolish the income tax and remove the power of the Federal Reserve? I hope Americans wake up and look at the candidate pool instead of allowing the propaganda machine to make up their minds for them.
