Mad Cow Strikes Democrats In Congress
Published by The Tampa Pirate July 21st, 2007 in CAIR, Government, Islam, TerrorismI couldn’t think of any headline that could capture the madness that is running amok in Congress so I am just assuming it must be a mad cow outbreak.
This week Congressman Peter King (R-NY), the ranking member on the House Homeland Security Committee, quickly spang into action, concluding that the lawsuits were cheap attempts to intimidate everyday Americans from taking action to help protect our country. Congressman King introduced an amendment to protect passengers and commuters against frivolous lawsuits such as those filed by the imams. The language was overwhelmingly adopted by the House in March, 304-121, as an amendment to H.R. 1401, the Rail and Public Transportation Security Act of 2007.
It appears now though that the Democrats are trying to clandestinely sabotage the King Amendment based on an alleged technical violation of Byzantine House rules.
According to an op-ed by Ed Koch, Congressman Bennie Thompson (D-MS) made the following argument to Kings Amendment:
“I think the record is clear in this country that some people are profiled and I am wondering if people are profiled illegally, not charged with a criminal act. They absolutely should have the ability to seek redress in a court of law. What I want to do is to say that there is nothing wrong with reporting in good faith, but when it is clear that we have not defined in a good-faith language in this motion to recommit what that is, then a number of people in this country could be singled out for various and sundry reasons. And what I am saying in this motion to recommit is it sets us up to start profiling against individuals regardless of religion, custom, or what have you. If I am praying on a plane simply because I am afraid to fly, then I could be singled out in the eyes of someone else. So I am clear that this is speculative on people who look different; it is speculative on people who perhaps act differently. I am convinced that, knowing you [Peter King], you have not proven on the committee to be a punitive person; and the reason I say that, Mr. Ranking Member, is we should not be singling people out for personal reasons. We need to catch bad people, but we need to make sure that we are not profiling those individuals because of how they look. I mean, this is America. This is the melting pot with a rainbow.”
WHAT??? These six Imans acted suspicious and gave people on the plane a reason to worry. That is the facts of the matter. Just as Democrats and CAIR say that the six have the right to express their religion, they also as citizens or guest in this nation to act responsibly. King’s response to Thompson was good:
Mr. Thompson’s argument is ridiculous. It is the airline that makes the decision whether passengers are to be removed and barred from completing their trip. The airline can be sued and is in fact being sued by the six imams who were removed from the plane. Should passengers concerned about their safety who in good faith report suspicious activities of fellow passengers, which our government encourages, be intimidated by lawsuits that could be brought against them? I would hope not.
First the Democrats try to run away from our enemies by again trying to pass a surrender bill. Than the Minnesota Congressman Rep. Keith Ellison (D), a Muslim, compared Bush to Hitler and that Bush is using 9/11 just like the Hitler used the Reichstags fire. After a firestorm erupted Ellison apologized, but not really. He said that his comments were misconstrued. LOL. Here is a transcript of this statement and you tell me:
Ellison: 9/11 is this juggernaut event in American history… and it allows… It’s almost like, you know, the Reichstag fire. It reminds me of that. Does anybody know what I am talking about?
Man In Crowd: Yea, yea… Who benefited from 9/11?
Ellison: Well, you and I both know.
Man In Crowd: Yea, Bush
Ellison: But the thing is, you know after the Reichstag was burned, they blamed the communists for it. And it put the leader of that country basically in a position of authority where he could do whatever he wanted.
Hmmm…. hard to misconstrue such comments. I am hardly a Bush lover, but comparing the president to Hitler is really stupid and not true. WCCO Channel 4 in Minnesota sets the record straight on the Reichstag fire:
The German Reichstag, that country’s Parliament, was deliberately set ablaze in 1933.
Adolph Hitler exploited widespread fear after that fire to impose an emergency order suspending basic civil rights.
It allowed arrest on suspicion of a crime, imprisonment without trial and no access to lawyers.
I want to apologize now for insulting mad cows because at least the poor cows can’t help their insanity. These guys are just out of touch. Out of touch with America, out of touch with reality and out of touch with our enemies.
I swear I have never seen such an impotent Congress run by such fools in my life. We learned nothing from 9/11, and all those who lost their lives have died in vain. These fools who spend their time trying to weaken our nation will be held accountable one day. When we are attacked again, and the revolution from within to take back government from fat, worthless, rich politicos begins, don’t look like a deer in the headlights.
