It seems that all Follywood can do is bring out prequels, sequels and rehash old story lines, and most of the time they fail horribly. Michael Bay proves with ‘Transformers’ that you can not only re-hash a story line, you can completely re-make it and turn it into a movie for fans and non-fans alike.

I have read alot of reviews and most of them are very favorable. There are some that tear the film apart, but then those people just don’t get it. Here is my advice, if you are expecting to see a movie with a complex plot and deep characters in the same artistic vein as Gone With The Wind, you will be very disappointed. If however you want to see a movie that is full of action, amazing graphics, cool sounds, a jamming soundtrack and a bad ass plot, than this will be one of the best movies you will ever see.

I never liked the Transformers as a kid and almost never watched the show so I am not a biased fan. I was familiar with the basic characters and story line, and after seeing the trailer I knew it looked like a cool movie. After seeing it I was blown away. The CGI in this movie is far and away better than anything I have ever seen. You feel like you are in the movie. The action is visceral and as long as you pay attention you can follow who is fighting who.

The basic storyline goes like this. There is a great battle between good and evil that long ago tore apart the planet Cybertron; its lasting legacy is a cube known as the Allspark, which gives limitless power to whoever possesses it. The search for that cube has led to Earth, where the good-guy warriors from Cybertron, known as the Autobots are destined for one final showdown against the bad-guys the Decepticons.

I was lucky to be sitting next to a guy who was apparently a huge fan and got his take on it afterwards. He said it was better than he could ever imagine. I am not a huge fan, but I can honestly say I agree 100% with him.
