Tell Your Congressman To Oppose The Senate Immigration Deal
Published by The Tampa Pirate May 30th, 2007 in GovernmentOne of the things that has made America the greatest country on Earth has been the contributions of the various cultures that make up the fabric of American society. They did it by learning the language and assimilating into our unique culture. Now, the Congress and the President want to change that with the new deal the Senate is working on. Unlike the war debate 90% of Americans oppose amnesty and other quick fixes to the problem. Most want to see the illegal aliens deported back to their country of origin and have to re-enter the country legally.
The excuses are numerous as to why the Federal government cannot round up illegals, but tougher enforcement of the laws on the books would be a great place to start. Another place would be for the Federal Government to stop any and all non-hummanitarian funds currently sent to U.S. cities that are considered “safe haven” cities (i.e. San Francisco). It will take hard work and sacrifice, but until the problem is solved this is what it will take.
The left wing has brainwashed us and our children to believe that multi-culturalism is the answer, but that is not what our government was founded on. We were founded on the idea that not just anyone can be an American citizen, only those that are willing to pledge allegiance to our country, and be willing to learn our laws, values and languages are permitted. That is no longer required because we are suppose to embrace their culture and diversity. They don’t even have to learn the language, instead we are suppose to change signs and books and announcements to make everything billingual.
There is nothing wrong with remembering and recognizing our roots and heritage before our families came to America. Infact it is healthy, but separating ourselves into little cultural niches is ridiculous. African-American, Irish-American, Latino-American, Asian-American and on and on ad nauseum is an exercise in stupidity. We are Americans period, end of story. If you want to be something else than go back to your country of origin, don’t waste our time here. If you think that because my great-grandfather may have enslaved your great-grandfather and that you were forced to be here, than go back to mother Africa. Maybe then you can take your plight up with the ancestors of the black slave traders who sold you into bondage.
We live in a place and time in America where our politicians no longer do the will of the people. They follow their own ambitions, and what the party says they have too. The Republican party like the Democrat party is BANKRUPT. They want us fighting among ourselves because then, like the frog being boiled in water, they turn the heat up gradually so we don’t feel that the water is boiling until it is too late. We may disagree on many issues, but one we shouldn’t disagree on is what is the role our politicians play. They are elected by US to carry out the will of the people. You wouldn’t think that anymore. There is a disconnect between what they are told to do by us, and what they actually accomplish in our names.
Stand up and tell the politicians NO on current immigration reform, if they vote against your wishes than do not re-elect them. Vote for your dog as a write in candidate. They will not get the message until we stand up as a nation and take back our government. If you are stupid and naive enough to believe that one party is better than the other, you are lost and have offically become one of the sheeple. Fight for what is right, fight for what you believe. A little revolution keeps things honest. If you love this country than join the fight, if you don’t than leave with the illegals.

Wow what an excellent post. You know I really can’t understand what the problem is here. ANY politician who has 85+ % support on an issue should go with it. I hate to say it but it seems like Bush will just do whatever’s in his own best interest.
And realistically (to me) the reason he will not take a stand on immigration is simple - $$$
He can’t have his fellow tycoons actually having to pay an American minimum wage rates now can he?
