Anti-war protesters are heading to Washington D.C. to demand an end to the war. Exactly what our enemies want. Their protests and endless babbling will be for naught as we continue to press ahead in Iraq with a better plan to win and help Iraqis stand on their own. The protest is being organized by United For Peace, another friend of our enemies and the umbrella group for many different radical left wing fringe groups, including Jesse “The Racist” Jackson’s Rainbow Push Coalition, American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, Black Radical Congress, Communist Party USA, Freedom Road Socialist Organization, Freedom Socialist Party, International Socialist Organization, National Hip Hop Political Convention, National Network on Cuba, NOW, Afrika-American Institute for Policy Studies, Socialist Party USA, Young Communist League, and many others. You can find their entire list of organizations HERE.

Hmm… so that is what comprises the peace movement in America. They claim to be for democracy, but Communist, Socialist, Muslims, Nation of Islam and many other radical organizations are opposed to democracy. Not to be outdone, Ben Cohen, of Ben and Jerry’s fame, is also involved with his True Majority organization. Many of these organizations oppose capitalism and free market, so it’s hypocrisy on a grand scale and laughable that Ben Cohen would be involved. Well, no more New York Double Fudge Chunk or Wavy Gravy for me.

Oh, of course, there are the list of losers, politicians and celebrities that will be speaking. Maxine Waters, Jane Fonda, Danny Glover, Jonathon Hutto, an active duty member of the U.S. Navy, Dennis Kucinich, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, Jessie “Can’t hold a candle to MLK” Jackson, Lynn Woolsey and many other nobodies who aren’t even worth me typing their names.

I have to admit that my dark side does hope we lose this war only so that I can watch the idiots involved with this wimpy organization beheaded when our enemies round them up. I think the quizzical look on their faces right before the ax falls would be humorous. They would be some of the first to go as the radical Muslims hate free speech, free thought, sexual promiscuity, homosexuality, education for all, woman’s rights and democracy.

Until the majority of Americans open their eyes and remove the blinders, we are condemned to repeat the mistakes of the past. These wanna be hippies and 60’s throwbacks are, and continue to be, useless members of our society. They burn the flag, oppose traditional values and morals, make women think they are being empowered when actually it is letting men off the hook by encouraging abortions, and doing everything they can to ensure that America becomes the weakest nation on earth.

I will go as far as saying that anyone who is involved with this rally is a weak willed member of our society. It is easy to oppose the war, but having no solutions to end terrorism is disastrous. There are those that insist we don’t give enough money to third world nations so that is why terrorists hate us. Newsflash - we are the biggest financial contributors to the third world hands down. We provide more food, first aid and basic necessities than anyone else. We are true philanthropists. The reason we are hated is because in a little over 200 years, we have been able to become the most powerful nation in the world. Period end of story.

Well, go ahead and protest, make yourself think you accomplished something. You will have no effect on the war and you will do nothing more than empower our enemies. The end result will be that they will fight harder and kill more troops. The blood of the dead is on your hands, not Bush’s, not the Congress’s and not the terrorists. You don’t have the courage to pull the trigger yourselves. Instead, you will just have some radical Muslim do it for you. You are cowards, plain and simple.

Okay this is just sad. How can one be ‘for’ war?

Please justify how you support mayhem and killing of innocent civilians and please connect what we are doing to iraq and OUR OWN PEOPLE to either Sept. 11, 2001 or to the new war on drugs … errr I mean, terrorism.

    This is an illegal war.

You are aware of the contracts shrub has gotten for the oil profits of iraq, right?

I’m sure we’ll never agree but I am lost as to how anyone can support war.

You can’t connect Iraq to anything but bush’s deddy. And oil.

    Vox,

I am not “for war”, but war is an inevitability, and war was declared on us. If you have read my previous posts you will find many where I have questioned the way we have fought this war. I do not believe however that this war is only about oil. 80% of the current oil contracts have gone to France, Russia, China, Japan, Germany, South Korea. The remaining 20% have gone to U.S., British and other Middle Eastern countries.

I agree that the whole Haliburton deal was shakey, and I still believe that. I don’t think we went to war to give Haliburton a contract though. I am not a puppet who just buys every line and nugget of crap that Bush spits out. I question everything as should every American.

In my questioning I discovered one very important thing. I read the radical Islamic webpages on a daily basis. Everything from Al-Qaeda, Al-Qaeda in Mesopotamia, Hizbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Muslim Brotherhood’s websites. When you read them you will get a glimpes of how badly our enemies hate us. I wrote a post that included some screenshots, you can check it http://tampapirate.com/?p=286 .

What are we suppose to do? Allow them to begin suicide bombing us here? Start capturing our citizens and beheading them? This is what they want. They believe that the U.S. is the Land of Milk and Honey and they want to take it. Because we are ready to run away they view us as a weak, paper tiger.

My support is not for the war, it is for the troops that are fighting and dying to win a front in the war on terror. When the actions of our politicans and our citizens embolden our enemies to fight harder, more of our troops die. I will not sit around and watch that happen without at least speaking up.

Thanks for you comments, I welcome any comments whether for or against the war.

You are right, I have read your blog for only a short time and just jump in wherever the feeling moves me but I have read ‘more of you’ at sticks and liked your take on things.

I can also appreciate and respect your stance. Of course.

To me, currently this is the most important thing about us all:

“I question everything as should every American.”

And so in the larger view of things, you and I agree on something extremely important.

Here’s something interesting that I’d like to see accomplished: Some of those peace ‘losers’ (come ON, you can’t really think tim robbins http://www.timrobbins.net/ is a loser….. ) are interested in setting up a Dept. of Peace http://www.thepeacealliance.org/ and why on earth can’t we work as hard towards peace as towards anything else?

I don’t like to believe that war is inevitable. I feel the way the country and the worlds’ attitude has changed in such a short time, dragging us along … most of my family is military and I’ve felt some of this ’sentiment’ before.

I’m certainly no expert on the subject. And I am an unapologetic lover of America … and every last person here;but more, I am a lover of humanity. I believe (call me crazy) that we can all live together peacefully. The ones who can’t we’ll have to isolate them and give them a place at a safe distance from the rest of us.

I agree the reading is scary but wonder at the war-mongers who may be publicizing it. There’s alot of money to be made off the war (any war) and almost none to be made from peace. http://www.warisaracket.org/
In studying for the Foreign Service Exam I came across one of those interactive websites where with changing colors and time-lines you can see how some regions have never been at peace. For centuries. It’s daunting to even consider the daily lives of people who have come of age in places so UNlike our America.

I refuse to feed into the fear of them bringing that here. In Bush’s SOU I’m sure you noticed his countless references to fear. It’s his fuel by which he is kicking our Constitution to the curb. All actions stem from love or fear. With that in mind — if one day I wake up and they have suicide bombed or beheaded anyone here in America I will happily join forces with you and help take care of business.

I don’t view it as running away but that’s the difference in our head space. To me, it’s not as big as the points that we agree on….. questioning everything and not denying the black/white issues of the green dollars.
Nice blog by the way… looks like you’ve been here awhile… I’m going to look at your other stuff.

    Vox,

I like your site too very easy to read and uncluttered. Mine is a little cluttered, but I am always working on it.

There are alot of things that I question and doubt, and I agree, war is big business. The websites are legitimate and are tranlslated by google translation program. I don’t think that they are screwed with, those are the thoughts and hearts of these people.

I would love to have a world where we could live in peace, but sadly evil is our worse enemy. Where there is good, evil is always close behind. The view that radical Muslim extremeist will come here is not from Bush, it is from the research I have done. I have been in the Middle East numerous times and I have seen first hand how crazy radical Islam can get. I also know there are some very good Muslims.

Our differences on war are understandable and I know that you are not just firing your opinions from emotion, but from a firm belief that you are correct. I am the same way in my views. Terrorist have already shown they will strike on U.S. soil. If we are unable to prevent them from gaining footholds in Darfur, Iraq, Somalia, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Indonesia and Afghanistan we will be sitting ducks.

When you see websites with instructions on how to make suicide bombs, car bombs, poisons, and also detailed video instructions using a British citizens captured in Sudan showing how to torture and extract information
you realize that these people are serious. Neither you or I could imaging torturing and butchering a little child, they do it to show how the interrogator can break the will of a prisoner.

We are fighting people who want to turn the clock back to the 1200’s. They believe women have no rights. Stoning, hanging, burning and torturing criminals is the way they are to be treated. What bothers me is that the peace activists are protecting people who will kill them for their beliefs and lifestyle if they get a chance. The same people who jam every alternative or liberal issue down our throats want us to respect and care for people who think women are to be covered from head to toe, silent unless spoken to, treated like second class citizens and basically viewed as being just a step above camels.

I know that I will always question both sides as I don’t trust politicans as a whole. Whether they be liberal or conservative, Republican or Democrat they never do anything without an agenda. The truth is that we can fight them there or fight them here. Personally I want to fight them over there.

Thanks for taking the time to write back. Your comments were interesting and informative.
