The Cowards In Congress Are Ready To Appease The Terrorist

What a sad, sad disgrace this will be. Thousands of American soliders will have died in vain once we turn our tails and run. Our fellow citizens who lost their lives on 9/11 will have been sacrificed just so the Democrats could be back in power. The Democrats and their media cronies made sure the American people only saw the downside of the war. As the election results show, many Americans bought into the Democrats’ lies hook line and sinker because the average American is ignorant about the world around them.
Pelosi, Murtha, Reid, and, of course, Levin are going to be the ones who will have the blood of the innocent American’s on their hands. The terrorists will be coming back to get us once they see us run away. This will empower them. Look at the transcripts of the message from Al-Quida they already view us as weak and as cowards. Wait ’till they see us turning tail and fleeing. We are doomed to repeat the mistakes of history when we refuse to learn from them.
When a truck laden with explosives hit the Marine Compound in Bierut in the early 1980’s, Reagan made a huge mistake and pulled U.S. forces out of Lebanon. It sent a message to terrorists worldwide that if you suicide bomb an enemy, they will be horrified and tire of battle and will run. The Democrats are ensuring our next fight against the terrorists is an absolute bloodbath.
Please, America, stand up before it is too late. Stop these cowards in Congress from destroying us as a nation. We need to be strong now. Write to your Congressmen and tell them that you want a change in direction, but that doesn’t mean you want to run like a little dog with his tail between his legs after being scolded.

Your assessment of the situation is flawed. Al-Qaeda believes we are weak due to the ineffectiveness of command and the misappropriation of funds from the active military to corporate interests. The forces on the ground were under equipped and the billions which should have gone towards securing their safety and rebuilding a sustainable infrastructure in Iraq went to corporations such as Haliburton. The situation in Iraq was instigated by greed and allowed to degrade as the contractors reaped the rewards.
A new strategy must be defined to move forward both in Iraq and also to begin to restore our national integrity in the world. That strategy must include a more intelligent use of military assets.
You have misread my post than and my numerous other posts which state that exact point. The way we have been fighting the war is 100% wrong. We have half-stepped our way through this since the beginning. If we would have crushed their military right off the bat instead of allowing many of them to vanish into the countryside while we raced to Baghdad and to secure the oil pumps and pipelines we would be fighting a different war today.
The only way to win now is to quit half-stepping and allow our guys to do what they have to restore order to the country. Unfortuntely the biggest problem with trying to fight an insurgent war is that our liberal media watches our guys with a microscope and expects us to play fair while the other side can operate however they want with no morals being imposed on them by anyone. They can blow up cars in crowded squares with women and children standing around, they can attacks mosques and churches with impunity.
As far as Al-Qaeda goes you are wrong, Al-Qaeda was formed after the CIA broke their promises and then “cut-n-ran” from Afghanistan during the Afghan/Soviet War of the 1980’s. Osama Bin Laden was one of the leader of the resistence fighters that were armed and trained by the CIA to wage their little war. When we left there was a power vacuum and a destroyed country. Than as Bin Laden and the Muslim Brotherhood saw the U.S. setting up bases in the Middle East they began planning to remove us from the region.
They hate us because of our corruption, drugs and Western culture plain and simple. They see us as the infidels and they want our total destruction. They didn’t launch the 9/11 attacks against military targets, they did it against civilian and government targets.
